    Lot #2.  Big pile of US military vintage chinstraps, different periods, all original.  I recently acquired a huge (literal) pile of original vintage US military chinstraps from many periods, some possibly as early as the Civil War up through WWII at latest, and periods in between.  There are officers, enlisted, brown leather, black leather, silver and gold tape and braid, and others.  Not just regular US Army, but militia and State troops, military schools, police & fireman, masonic, etc.  These are dirty and need a good cleaning, some are only partials, others complete, with pieces of others mixed in.  Conditions range from fair to good, showing various degrees of wear.  Some look never used.  Most should clean up decently and others will need a little oil or other restorative.  Even the incomplete ones and pieces can be quite useful for restoration.  These are probably an average of 75 to 100+ years old, so please don't be expecting any in mint condition!  Instead of going through the pile one at a time (just don't have the time) I'm just grabbing handfuls and offering them in lots.  Take a look, and bid!
