1957 MG MGA

Description

For sale is my '57 MGA for ,000 OBO. Picked it up in April from South Carolina, but will be moving and can only have one car. A few notes of the work done by the previous seller: "1957 MGA 1500. I bought it in 2017 and did a driver quality restoration on it. I have gone through the suspension, it has Moss motors wire wheel adapters upfront, along with a MGB wire wheel rear axle in the back, which has a taller (3.9) final drive. It has new disc brakes and brake hoses up front, and new brake cylinders for the rear drums. It also has a new brake/clutch master cylinder and a new clutch slave cylinder. I installed new pistons, rings, wrist pins and rod and main bearings less than 200 miles ago."
The car was repainted silver (drivers quality). Half a can of paint and clear coat will come with the sale. The top will need to be replaced, myself and the previous owner never used it as we never drove it in the rain. Side curtains are in fair shape. Right wind wing was cracked and repaired (see picture). The interior is also drivers quality, a little left to be desired. Heater is not hooked up. Retrosound stereo and Motolita style steering wheel. Most of the wiring was redone by previous owner and was also converted to a modern alternator. Headlights are halogens with LED running and rear lights. A spare tire, a "like new" moss motors luggage rack and a handful of original parts come with the sale. I also have documentation all the way back to the previous owner and the owner before him. Shoot me any questions you may have.
